The Phoenix Rise is the creation of someone who aims to keep stress out of life.
Stationed in Bournemouth, England, The Phoenix Rise started out in early 2006 as a project looking to combine new age synth sounds with classical piano melodies. The rest of 2006 and early part of 2007 was spent on working out that sound and working on the songs. In spring 2007, recording began on the eponymous debut album. In November 2007 the TPR album was released onto the internet and iTunes with 11 tracks and coming in at around 45 minutes long. The album was both a success and a failure. It was a success in the way that the album fused together fairly well and had a couple of standout songs, but a failure in the way that it never became anything more that background music with only a couple of memorable melodies over the top.
A new direction was needed, and immediately following the release of TPR, work was started on a new album with a new sound. It was eventually titled Dust To Dust, and included a new clasically focused piano sound fused with subtle electro melodies to add orginality. The songs ranged from straight-up classical (Dust To Dust, Rain) to more progressive numbers (The Voyage), resulting in a more varied album with more tracks to hold the listeners' interests. Dust To Dust was released in December 2008 onto iTunes and CDBaby.
In October 2009, a third album named Blackout was released, combining the melodic style of Dust To Dust with a more mature, classical sound.
